Windows on Wilshire, 1998

"Windows on Wilshire" was a project sponsored by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art located in the former May Company Department Store's (now LACMA West) display windows. Digitally produced photographic banners depicting fragments of the urban landscape were suspended within the window space. Vinyl lettering was applied directly to the windows creating a layering of image and text. The window display was visible both day and night to people passing by in cars as well as to pedestrians.
